Gelmer Funicular
This former transport funicular of the Oberhasli Power Company (KWO) takes you up to the oldest storage lake in the Grimsel area. The ride on the Gelmer funicular - the steepest in Europe - takes 15 minutes and covers an altituede of roughly 500 m with a steepest incline of 106%.
Be it a 2 hour hike around the picturesque Gelmer Lake, a 2 hour hike up to the Gelmer SAC hut, or a short walk across the Gelmer dam, this destination offers spectacular views of the Grimselworld!
