Brünig Safari
A Safari from Central Switzerland to the Bernese Oberland….
That is the idea of our train conductor Jakob Enz who has observed countless numbers of animals while travelling along the cog-railway over the Brünig pass, between Luzern and Interlaken Ost. Wasn’t that a squirrel running up the tree? Or a mountain goat higher up the slope? A unique experience that he would like to share with you:
When the train enters the cog section between Giswil and Meiringen it is definitely time to put down what you were reading and look outside. Discover the 13 indigenous animals which have been placed along the way so that they can be seen from the train. If you look really hard you may see some real animals along side the wooden ones! Turn your train trip into a safari for families, school groups and nature friends. Who can see the first animal?
Test your knowledge of animals and fill out the competition form. Some fun prizes are to be had. Ask for a flyer at any counter of the Zentralbahn or ask the conductor on the train going over the Brünig pass.
Duration from 1st May till end of October 2011.
