Zentralbahn Railway

Meiringen-Innertkirchen-Railway (MIB)
The ride from Meiringen to Innertkirchen takes 10 minutes. This train will take you to the Aare gorge. Tunnel stop for the Aare gorge east entrance: Cross the swing-bridge across the Aare river and walk back up to the east entrance and through the gorge.

Meiringen Bus
The outlying villages of Balm, Hausen, Geissholz, Willigen and Unterbach are serviced by this bus. Please ask for a regional bus timetable at the Tourist Info offices (CHF 2.50).
Regionalpass Berner Oberland
The Regionalpass is the ideal ticket for excursions in the Bernese Oberland by train, boat, bus and mountain lifts. For CHF 233.00 (7 days) you can ride for free on three days with a reduction on the remaining 4 days. For 290.00 (15 days) you can ride for free on five days with 10 days at a reduced tarif. With the Junior- or Grandchildren-Card children (6 - 16) travel for free when accompanied by a parent or grandparent. Reductions with the half price ticket.

Junior Card
The Junior Card from the SBB Swiss Transport Company is valid for a year and costs CHF 30.00 each for the first two children, any further children are free of charge. Children between 6 - 16 travel for free when accompanied by an adult. The Junior Card is available at SBB railway stations, post offices and in the Tourist Info offices.
Grandchild Card
Free travel for children aged 6 – 16 accompanied by a grandparent. The Grandchild Card is available at railway stations. CHF 30.00.
