Aare Gorge
Over thousands of years the Aare river has carved its way between the villages of Meiringen und Innertkirchen, forming a 1,4 km long and 200 m deep gorge.
Tourists have been able to walk through the gorge for over 100 years, along safe walkways and through tunnels. Enjoy the hike through the gorge and experience this very special wonder of nature.

The Aare Gorge can be easily reached with the Meiringen-Innertkirchen train.
Price of admission, including train ticket
- Adults CHF 9.00
- Children CHF 5.00
Open from beginning of April till 1st of November daily 09.00 - 17.00 hours (peak season 08.00 - 18.00 hours).
The gorge is illuminated at Wednesday and Friday night during July and August from 21.00 - 23.00.
