Alpenbrevet, 31 August 2013
On 31 August Meiringen will once again become a cycling „Mecca“ when the annual Alpenbrevet takes place. Around 2000 hobby cyclists will set off in Meiringen for this impressive ride.
The longest route is 276 km long and goes over 5 alpine passes in the heart of the Swiss alps covering a difference in altitude of 7,000 metres! Even the „easy“ route is tough, with 131 km crossing the Grimsel, Furka and Susten passes. The participants are sure to experience a number emotional and physical challenges along the way.
