The classic climbing tour in the Engelhörner mountains

The marvellous climbing tour on the Simelistöcke is probably the classic par excellence in the Engelhörner. From the car park on the Rychenbachalp (permit required), you hike to the start of the climbing route in around 1 hour. In marvellous limestone climbing you first cross the small Simelistock and then - in somewhat exposed limestone climbing - you reach the summit of the large Simelistock.

The view of the wild Ochsental valley is marvellous. The descent is via several abseils and tracks down into the Ochsental valley. You can fortify yourself at the Engelhornhütte before hiking back to the car park.
